A few weeks ago, we discussed some of the great things that our society has embraced and is enjoying, such as human rights, the concept of human dignity, the equality of every human being, the sanctity of life and so on. Good things!

All these good things have come from one particular worldview: from the Christian worldview.

We looked at some not-so-wise ideas; now, let’s see what the Christian worldview teaches us about who we are.

Again, we need to go to the book of Genesis:

"Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” So, God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.” [Genesis 1:26-27]

This understanding of who we are created Western civilization with all its wonders: with all the many great things that the entire world appreciates.
